Sourdough Course

Service Description

A weekend of sourdough making in the cosy surroundings of The Cottage Bed & Breakfast, in the glorious fishing village of Polperro. This course takes place over three days and includes two nights of accommodation. Schedule On arrival on Friday night you will be given your starter - which you will feed. The rest of the evening is free time Saturday morning: mix your dough before breakfast and rest it while we eat. Saturday morning is dough folding. Light lunch - included. Saturday afternoon: various options, including introduction to fermented foods, guided cliff walk with foraging (bear in mind this is more limited in winter than in spring), watercolour tuition by arrangement with local artist - etc. Please let us know which of these you'd be interested in in principle. Saturday evening: shape dough and place in banneton then - free time! Sunday morning: after breakfast, we will turn out then score or paint our loaves, and bake. You will be able to take your loaves home. And they will be DELICIOUS! Please speak to us directly to book: Non-participating room sharers at £100 for the weekend (£50 per night) Participating room sharers at £225 to include all activities If there is space for you on the course, there is space for a participating or non-participating room sharer.
